The brief for this two storey flat in Oakley Square required ‘light’ especially to the lower ground floor basement area which had very low headroom and had been divided up into small unusable spaces. Structural works were undertaken to remove the spine wall and two steel columns inserted to open the space up and provide the template for a light and airy space.
